I have intently followed the story of hunger that is affecting Somalia and parts of Kenya and Ethiopia and I am stirred to mention the below.
Dear friends and fellow Kenyan, time has come for us to see our deal with our own problems without looking for help anywhere else. It is inhuman to watch the misery of our people as they are devastated by hunger while we have plenty of food even to waste! For those Kenyans who are able, the time has come when we don't sit back and hope that help will come from the government or Red Cross or some NGO or foreign countries; the time has come to take action and with imperativeness this matter deserves. We may have all the blame games about who didn't do what but above all let us remember that this is a natural disaster, it can happen to anyone at any time; you are not any better than those who are suffering.
